6. Advanced Automation of the Lean Management System
- Connected, action-oriented visibility — unify shop-floor data, audits and tiered reviews into live Power BI Obeya boards and Copilot summaries so issues are visible with context and decision makers have the signals they need.
- Smarter, faster improvement cycles — apply AI to score and cluster opportunities, then automate action creation, assignment and SLA-based escalation so teams prioritise high-impact work and close corrective actions more quickly.
- Scalable, resilient platform — deliver a governed, reusable architecture (modular flows, Copilot prompts and templates) with built-in error handling, testing and role-based access so solutions scale across sites with minimal rework.
Introduction
This two-day, hands-on course is for advanced Lean practitioners, automation architects and digital transformation leaders who want to create an end-to-end digital Lean Management System. The workshop shows how to stitch together Power Automate, Copilot, Power BI and supporting services into a reliable platform that supports daily management, problem solving, escalation and strategic review.
You’ll begin by mapping the Lean management cadence (daily huddles, tiered reviews, escalations and strategic KPIs) to the digital architecture required to make it dependable and action-oriented. We cover designing resilient automation for routine tasks (data collection, evidence capture, action creation), creating intelligent prioritisation using AI, and surfacing the right signals in Power BI Obeya boards and Copilot assistants. Participants will implement monitoring, error handling, governance and lifecycle practices to make the system maintainable and auditable.
Through instructor demos and team workshops you will deliver a working pilot: automated data pipelines, flows that create and route corrective actions (with SLAs and escalation), dashboards that surface leading indicators, and Copilot-enabled assistants that coach and prioritise improvements. The course concludes with a 30/60/90 deployment plan and governance playbook to move the pilot into production.
Deliverables: a pilot Lean Management System scaffold (flows, dashboards, Copilot prompts), prioritisation model for improvements, monitoring & testing checklist, governance & security checklist, and a 30/60/90 rollout plan.
About the course
Overview & Objectives
