Welcome to the Outlook Email Pattern Seasonality Analyser support page. Follow the steps below to successfully connect your data to the app and start gaining insights into your email communication patterns.
Step 1: Install the App
Access Power BI Service:
- Log in to your Power BI account.
- Navigate to the “Apps” section from the left-side menu.
Get the App:
- Click on “Get apps” and search for “Outlook Email Pattern Seasonality Analyser.”
- Click “Get it now” to install the app in your workspace.

Step 2: Connect to Your Outlook Mailbox
Launch the App:
- Open the installed app from your Power BI workspace.
- The app will prompt you to connect to your Outlook mailbox.

Authentication:
- Enter your Outlook Email Address in the provided field.
- Select OAuth2 as the authentication method.
- Choose the appropriate Privacy Level (usually “Organizational”).
- Click Sign in and connect to authenticate.
Step 3: Set Up Required Parameters
Enter Required Parameters:
- You will be prompted to enter additional parameters for the analysis:
- User Email: Enter your Outlook email address.
- StartDate: Enter the start date for the analysis in the format
MM/DD/YYYY.

Advanced Options (Optional):
- Expand the Advanced section if additional settings are needed for your specific analysis.
- Click Next to proceed.
Validation:
- Ensure that all required fields are filled correctly. If fields are missing or incorrectly formatted, they will be highlighted in red.
- Correct any errors and click Next again.
Step 4: Load Your Data
Data Loading:

- Once you’ve successfully connected your mailbox and set up the parameters, the app will begin loading your email data.
- This process may take a few moments depending on the volume of emails.
Explore the Dashboard:
- After the data is loaded, you will be redirected to the main dashboard where you can start exploring insights such as email patterns by weekdays, months, and hours.
Step 5: Troubleshooting
Connection Issues: If you encounter issues connecting to your Outlook mailbox, ensure that your credentials are correct and that you have the necessary permissions in your organization’s Office 365 environment.
Parameter Errors: If the app is not accepting your parameters, double-check that the date is in the correct format (MM/DD/YYYY) and that all required fields are filled.
